(For Children, Adolescents, or Adults)
An autism assessment is a comprehensive clinical evaluation designed to explore how you (or your child) experience social interaction, communication, sensory input, and patterns of behavior. As a U.S. board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Julie Angileri conducts autism assessments with a warm, collaborative, and neurodivergent-affirming approach.
The process includes:
A structured interview exploring your developmental, social, and emotional history
Discussion of current experiences related to sensory processing, communication style, routines, and masking
Use of evidence-based screening tools and optional input from parents, caregivers, or partners when applicable
Assessment of related mental health factors such as anxiety, ADHD, or gender diversity
The goal is not just to determine whether autism is present, but to gain clarity on how you or your child relate to the world and what supports will be most affirming.
After the evaluation, you will receive a detailed summary with findings, clinical impressions, and individualized recommendations—whether that’s coaching, accommodations, therapy, or further support.
