Who we are

I'm Julie Angileri, a U.S. board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Discreet Insight, a neurodivergent-affirming mental health practice based in Amsterdam.

My path is anything but typical—and that’s exactly what makes it powerful. I bring a rare blend of expertise, with dual training in both psychiatry and family medicine, a fellowship in functional medicine, and additional credentials in integrative medicine. I’m also a certified ADHD and Autism Practitioner, with lived experience of both. This fusion of clinical knowledge and personal insight allows me to connect deeply with clients while offering a truly holistic, informed approach to care.

One of the things that sets my practice apart is my ability to identify and understand the medical conditions that often co-occur with autism and ADHD—such as sleep disturbances, autoimmune issues, and digestive disorders. These are often overlooked in conventional settings, but I view them as vital pieces of the puzzle.

Equally important is how I see autism. I don’t approach it as a disorder to be “fixed,” but as a unique neurological difference to be understood, honored, and supported. My care model is strengths-based, affirming, and culturally attuned—grounded in respect for each person’s individuality and potential.

At Discreet Insight, I offer comprehensive autism and ADHD evaluations, therapy and coaching for adults and children, and parent coaching to help caregivers respond with practical, compassionate tools.

Whether you're seeking clarity, coping strategies, or a space where your neurodivergence is seen as a strength—not a setback—you’re welcome here.
